Our Story
ABOUT US
Shakti Arts Collective is 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to building bridges between diverse cultures, and and fostering healing and creativity through the arts.
We aim to create spaces and immersive experiences for audiences to imbibe wisdom from the world's ancient cultures. Our flagship production "Sufi Music Around the World" toured across the USA, selling out audiences in every city.
Founded in 2017 by artist-entrepreneur Rimi Basu, Shakti has partnered on events and fundraising efforts with global and national nonprofits including Amnesty International, UNICEF, ASHA for Women, and more.
ABOUT US
OUR CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS
A unique combination of Kundalini yoga and breathwork, voice, and Indian classical dance that opens the chakras.
A healing and inclusive space open to all. to share and listen to stories and process together the unique and complex experiences of life.
We offer classes in Odissi, Kathak, and Hindustani classical raga. Most classes are now offered on a private basis, either virtual or in-person.
A multimedia showcase of Sufi arts including music, whirling, and poetry. Artists including Rachid Halilal, Amir Vahab, Mojib, Kamyar Arsani, and Rimi Basu.
An immersive event series that explores Goddesses across cultures and religions through dance and music. It illuminates their unique stories and attributes and the ancient wisdom these archetypes bring.
